Shea Weber is rumoured to be in discussion with Vancouver Canucks GM Mike Gillis.

Shea Weber to Vancouver

Mason Raymond, Keith Ballard, and Andrew Alberts to Nashville

Mason Raymond has had double digit seasons with the Canucks and is nearing complete structural recovery. The injury was completely ligament based. If he had broken a part of his column? Different story. The Predators need some offence and putting Raymond on with Fisher is the answer.

Keith Ballard has struggled in Vancouver managing to be a healthy numerous times last season. Even in the playoffs? This year his focus is renewed and it shows. The Predators would gain an offensively minded blue-liner with the best hip check in the league. See him gelling with Suter quite quickly.

Andrew Alberts is the biggest blue-liner the Canucks have, but is a more stay at home defenceman. He has also struggled under the Canucks coaching staff.

Shea Weber is the best defenceman in the league. His pure mix of offensive prowess (ripped nets and all) and ruthless defensive power are unmatched.

He is the perfect defenceman to build the top defensive pairing of the Vancouver Canucks with. He will be partnered with Alex Edler. This will immediately become the top defensive pairing in the league. His past pairing with Dan Hamhuis who are both B.C boys playing in the NHL is still sound.

This will immediately make Vancouver a better team, a team that if chemistry takes its course, could be nearly unstoppable
